DSST Public Schools (DSST) operates a network of tuition-free, open-enrollment public STEM charter schools within the Denver Public Schools (DPS) and Aurora Public Schools (APS) districts. The student population across the DSST network is 84% of students of color, and 71% qualify for free and reduced lunch. This year, DSST will serve approximately 6,000 students at fifteen schools on nine campuses across Denver and Aurora.

Overview Of Position

DSST is currently seeking a Manager of Talent Strategy to lead our recruitment and hiring operations across all fifteen DSST schools. This role will function closely with senior and executive leadership to drive the strategic direction and daily operations of the Talent Acquisition Team. This is a unique opportunity to identify, hire, and support the top talent for our students as we continue to grow as a network and build high-performing teams throughout the organization.

The responsibilities of this role will consist of Vision and Strategy (20%), Leadership (10%), Operations (60%), additional duties (10%).

• Develop an integrated recruitment strategy to meet current talent needs and future business growth, addressing the national teacher shortage

• Collaborate with Network Leadership to identify effective sourcing strategies for attracting high-quality candidates to DSST Public Schools

• Coach and mentor recruiters, facilitate presentations to senior leadership, and create areas of accountability for each segment of the recruitment process

• Prepare and monitor the annual recruitment budget and participate in budget review meetings

• Partner with Managing Directors of Schools, Principals, and hiring managers to develop and improve selection systems and processes that ensure a dynamic candidate experience from application to offer

• Forecast future talent gaps – short and long-term – and create solutions to continue driving strategy and achieving goals

Qualifications:

• 5 years of professional work experience consisting of at least 2 years of recruitment/hiring and 2 or more years in a supervisory role

• Experience working with Recruiting and Human Resources systems such as Linkedin, Indeed, Greenhouse, Hubspot, and Workday

• Experience successfully leading large cross-functional projects to achieve ambitious outcomes

• Passionate about the mission of DSST Public Schools, and excited to build high-quality, diverse schools and Home Office

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited university

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$80,000 and is commensurate with experience. Final salary may be adjusted based on years of experience in a relevant, aligned role of similar level and responsibilities up to 6 years of experience.
