DRY BOX INC is seeking a full time Experienced CDL Truck Dispatcher / Office Manager with excellent communications skills for our Chehalis corporate office.

Job Description

The Fleet Dispatch and Office Manager is responsible for coordinating the movement of Dry Box shipping containers and other equipment to and from customer sites and other Dry Box locations. This includes dispatching of Dry Box owned trucks and 3rd party truckers for all rental and sales locations and coordinating transfer trucks between all Dry Box locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Colorado. Position will manage maintenance and repair on Dry Box truck and trailer fleet within area of responsibility and communicate with Operations Manager on fleet related issues and initiatives.

• Maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• Ability to quickly rearrange the drivers and schedules due to ever changing weather, road conditions and customer requirements.
• Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries.
• Collect Daily drivers pre-trip/post trip and mileage s.
• Monitor Drivers for hours of service compliance and keep their files organized.
• Ensure all drivers assigned tasks are signed off completed and correctly closed out in the system.
• Streamline and coordinate the pickup of all rental returns.
• Perform periodic Safety spot check of Trucks and trailers.
• Complete quarterly IFTA s.
• Complete annual Pro Rate registration.
• Coordinate the picking up purchased assets as well as the intercompany transfer of assets.
• Communicate with suppliers and storage yards for equipment availability.
• Coordinate with management and prioritize recovery of Purchased assets.
• Utilize load boards and brokers to find carriers and book loads.
• Manage and build subcontractor relationships and maintaining updated COI’s,

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Past experience managing/dispatching a sizable fleet of Trucks.
• Clear understanding of current CDL/DOT regulations.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You will need to be able to prioritize the most important situations, and think quickly on your feet.
• Experience booking loads for a diverse fleet of trucks.
• This position requires good written, oral and reading communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required.
• Proficiency in Modern trucking technology, GPS tracking, ELD logs, E-dispatch.
• Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job.
• Possession of a commercial driver’s license is a plus.
