Job Summary
Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business is seeking a Learning Experience Designer for the Corporate and Executive Education (CEE) Center. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean, the Learning Experience Designer serves as a resource to executive education team and faculty to develop learning experiences for executive audiences using a learner-centered approach. Partnering closely with the Associate Dean, Faculty, and/or subject matter experts, to conceptualize, propose, plan, design, develop, and measure content that cultivates engagement, uses technology to foster connections, and promotes experiential learning.
An understanding of executive education, corporate L+D audience, linkages to related competency models, and possess ability to assess, design, develop, and evaluate learning solutions to meet assigned program requirements.
Experience collaborating on course content, recommending design revisions/updates to programs, and identifying creative solutions as needed.
Strong program/project management skills in order to effectively plan and execute new content development and to meet targeted timelines and quality of executive education deliverables.
Excellent relationship management skills and experience working with stakeholder groups in order to meet faculty/client needs.
Attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and good judgment, as well as the ability to work within a team environment.
Experience creating event and program evaluations, related reporting, and data visualization.
Essential Functions
Proposal Development and Support: Works with Associate Dean and Drexel Business Solutions Institute team to develop custom program proposals for potential corporate clients and new executive programs.
Learning Experience and Content Development: Develops, manages, and curates CEE content catalog, recommends new content and experiential elements based on Drexel/LeBow/CEE faculty thought leadership and/or industry and market trends. Works with faculty and stakeholders to develop creative content solutions and related support as needed and fosters learning-centered programs.
Project Management: Employs the appropriate project management processes to meet targeted timelines, organization, and quality of content/project deliverables. Supports the Associate Dean in leading new course/program initiatives working closely with the faculty and SME teams, including attending meetings as necessary, to develop a comprehensive, pedagogically sound learner-centered program, curriculum documentation and assessment plan that meets CEE and program learning objectives.
Metrics and Measurement: Creates, implements, and refines program evaluations and related reports. Ensures effective controls are in place to monitor and measures effectiveness of executive programs. Where appropriate, develops effective dashboards for the team’s processes.
Special Projects: Participates in special projects/initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Five years of experience directly related to corporate training, executive education, instructional design, evaluation, and/or leadership development.
Understanding of organization and industry, or ability to quickly learn.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Strong, oral, written, and interpersonal influence and communication skills.
Proven ability to identify opportunities and execute solution both strategically and tactically.
Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex client situations.
Ability to work evenings and weekends in support of CEE programming, both at the University and remote locations.
Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management, planning and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite. Ability to use graphics to communicate high impact content reports and proposals to clients.
Must be available to work some nights and weekends throughout the year to support and actively participate in Corporate and Executive Education events as required. Some travel may be required in support of student participation in case competitions.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or another relevant field recommended.
