Dream Decors Design House Hiring for Event Designer Full Time

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The core of our company are the event designers. Our designers meet with our clients to visualize and create everything required for an event. An ideal candidate should have experience in event design and thoroughly enjoy interacting with clients to manage all details regarding the design, furnitures, finishes, fixtures and execution of the events. Understands the demands and sense of urgency of being in the hospitality industry and be able to stay organized, multi-task, communicate well and meet all deadlines in timely fashion.

JOB DUTIES:

• Meet with clients for in person or via phone for design consultations and create mood boards/mock up in a timely manner.
• Manage clients through contract negotiations, design phase and completion of the event.
• Handle site visits and design meetings for upcoming events and assist as needed.
• Must be on site for the event setup to ensure the designs and quality control is complete per contract and available to handle any questions or situations that might arise.
• Create event packet for Operations Manager by creating timelines, floor plans, sketches. etc.
• Bring fresh ideas, creativity, and artistic ability to design which are on point with company brand.
• Assist in selecting product lines for the upcoming season which are in line with latest trends.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Interior Design.
• Minimum of 1-2  years’ experience in the event or interior design industry.
• Experience in South Asian wedding design and decor is highly preferred.
• Must be available to work on weekends and be flexible with schedule.
• Have excellent attention to detail and strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Floral experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

COMPENSATION:

This is a contract to full-time position with salary based on experience plus excellent commission.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
