Full job description
The pace of change is accelerating and with that, we are keen to recruit an HR Officer to provide professional and operationally focused HR and training support to the business.
Job Responsibilities
Work alongside the rest of the HR team to successfully recruit for allocated vacancies
Work with the HR Coordinators to ensure staff are effectively onboarded and provide advice to managers through the probation period as required
Support line managers with disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures including attending hearings and drafting invite and outcome letters
Provide guidance on HR related matters to employees and managers when requested
Carry out exit interviews with leavers and collate feedback
Assist with the implementation of a companywide training plan
Provide support and guidance to managers on training and appraisals
Source effective training for the Company and capture all feedback in relation to training
Deliver internal training if required on HR related matters
Support managers with staff absences including persistent short-term absences and long-term sickness absences
Work alongside other members of the team to regularly report on absence information including absence levels and trends.
Work with other members of the team to ensure all paper and digital records are maintained and compliant with GDPR
Provide cover for other members of the team, including the HR and Payroll officer
Required Skills
Previous experience of working in a HR role at a similar level, within a manufacturing (or similar) environment
Experience of running payroll would be beneficial
Proven success with recruitment and selection
Highly organised with an attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Able to negotiate and influence
Trustworthy, works with integrity
Excellent relationship building skills
Able to balance being well-liked with making or supporting difficult decisions
Role Location
The role will be based at our Head Office in Chandlers Ford but the option for some home working is also available.
