Dr Martens Hiring for ASSISTANT FINANCE ANALYST Job at London, England Full Time

Due to the rapid growth of the Dr. Martens brand, we are recruiting for a newly created role to support the further expansion of the EMEA store portfolio. Reporting into the Finance Business Partner, the role of the Assistant Finance Analyst is to support the retail finance team with duties including the delivery of accurate financial reporting, insightful commercial analysis, management accounts and property appraisals.

Taking direction from the Senior Finance Analysts, the role will be key to supporting the store expansion by assisting with new store appraisals and preparation of board presentations, and will also support the month end processes with a particular focus on retail Opex.

As our Assistant Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the following:

• Collaborate with the Financial Accounting team and Group finance to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support the wider month end processes and produce store P&L’s, highlighting any variances to forecast.
• Providing timely, accurate and insightful reporting on a daily basis.
• Help drive efficiency and continuous improvement by utilising D365 and Power BI.
• Provide additional support where necessary to EMEA Retail and the wider finance team.
• Supporting new store appraisals and production of Powerpoint presentations for board meetings.
• Providing ad-hoc analysis to generate actionable insights to improve DC forecast accuracy and support management and trade teams in executing financial plans, including regional deep-dives.
• Capex reporting on a monthly basis to ensure project costs are controlled and highlight any variances to budget.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

• Degree level qualification or relevant work experience. Finance/accounting experience preferable but not essential.
• Experience working in a Global, multichannel business preferable but not essential.
• An ability to work independently and a strong work ethic, ability to multitask and prioritise, working in a matrix organisation.
• An analytical and questioning mind set and confidence to ask questions.
• Understand the detail and ensure accruacy.
• Ability to build credibility within the finance team in order to quickly work cross functionally.
• Great excel and powerpoint skills, previous exerpience using D365 & PowerBI is desirable but not essential.
• Team player, agile and resilient.
