Australia Head Office

The Australia Head Office is the corporate office for the Company’s Australian operations and is located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Led by the Executive Leadership Team, the Australia Head Office provides national support to all sites.

About the role

Due to an internal promotion , we have an opportunity for a qualified or part qualified financial accountant with the necessary experience to join our finance team based in Martin Place, Sydney.

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely reporting, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting data for all business units and its timely flow for input to the centralised accounting system.

Key accountabilities

The duties of this role will include the following:

• Assist with the preparation of the group annual FBT returns
• Assist with the preparation of monthly GST and PAYG returns
• Provide management with relevant information and reports as required.
• Assist with the analysis of monthly results against budget.
• Assist with quarterly reforecast process and annual budget process
• Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Reconciliation of all intercompany accounts.
• Reconciliation of all bank accounts
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayment and employee expense journals.

Experience, skills and qualifications

• Accounting related Degree and Professional accounting qualifications (CPA, CA) with a minimum of two years post qualification experience.
• Experience in accountant role for a multinational organization preferred
• Sound knowledge of accounting systems
• Sound computer experience including Excel skills
• Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to work to demanding time lines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Sound interpersonal skills
