Position summary

An opportunity has become available within our Group Reporting Finance Team, based out of North Ryde for a Financial Accountant. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be driving the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports for the Group including supporting month-end and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements as well as provide financial analysis and meaningful commentary for key financial drivers. You will also provide technical support and assistance to our other finance teams within Downer Group.

ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience.

Membership with a recognised professional Accounting body in Australia (or with programme to obtain membership).

Good demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting roles

statutory reports preparation

Experience in stakeholder management and business partnering

Project planning; organisational and time management

Ability to report and analyse financial information

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to break down complex matters for all stakeholders

Experience in researching, analysing and understanding complex information to develop and implement business solutions.

Advanced excel and attention to detail

Onestream (or consolidation reporting system) experience is highly advantageous
