Job Summary:
Provides specialized technical support and solutions for project teams, operations and maintenance. Understands and implements Most Effective Technology (MET), work process, tools and industry best practices within their discipline. The Hardware Disciplines within Engineering and Maintenance are comprised of the following disciplines: Buildings, Civil, Electrical, Instrument, Materials, Mechanical, Process Containment Equipment and Piping. Hardware Disciplines support both projects and technical support teams as an Inspector, Designer on large projects or Lead for their discipline on projects. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Enables the people who manage and/or perform work in the field with the tools and information needed to perform their job effectively and efficiently.

Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Required Qualifications:
5 or more years of industrial manufacturing experience.
Able to work overtime as needed.
A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
Physical Requirements:
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
Lift, push, and pull.
Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
Work in tight and closed in spaces.
Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.Able to work outside in all types of weather, including heat, cold, and snow.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent and one of the following is required.
2 year technical diploma or higher in Instrumentation, Electrical, or similar. In lieu of a technical diploma Dow will consider those with 4 or more years of relevant military experience.
Journeyman license/certificate in Millwright, Pipefitting, Electrical, Instrumentation, or similar.
