Forest School / Outdoor Learning Lead – Higher Level Teaching Assistant (specialist role)
Contract Type: Permanent – 32.5 hours per week. 39 working weeks, holiday entitlement means paid for 45.248 weeks.
Salary: £21,500.00 * (FTE) *pay award pending and backdated to start date (£22,500)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring individual to work with colleagues as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for pupils with SEND. The successful candidate will be providing specialist horticultural, forest school and learning outside the classroom provision and learning activities for class groups. You would provide assistance to pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities, and ensuring safeguarding of pupils.

We are seeking to appoint self-motivated, caring and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants. As a key member of staff you will work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Also to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers and to cover PPA. A passion for supporting young people with complex learning, ASD and sensory needs is vital.
