Job Description
This position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions within our business unit. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommend technical solutions.
· Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
· Direct operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
· Produce detailed timeline for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
· Direct and prioritize the workload of the IT Team, as well as provide coaching and development opportunities and performance management.
· Establish contracts with outside vendors and maintain those relationships, as well as determine their assignments.
· Review all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable.
· Approve all business requirements prior to the technical solution.
· Participate on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
· Represent the IT function at customer review meetings when appropriate.
· Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.
· Provide guidance and assistance to other departments in the usage of IT software and hardware; participate in technology workflows in those departments where required.
· Work with the IT Team to identify upgrades and revisions for the software.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This position requires a minimum of a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the software development world, coupled with leadership. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required.

· Experience with C# and .NET; ASP.NET
· Ability to effectively communicate technical items verbally and in writing
