Role Title: Education Inclusion Officer


Based at: Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1 3BU/ Home Working


Salary details: Grade 8, £27,522 – £31,099 (Pay award pending)

Contract Type: 37 hours per week, permanent

We are excited about recruiting a new staff member to join our friendly, well established team. We are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge, is self-motivated, has excellent interpersonal skills, good time management and most importantly, a sense of humour.

This grade 8 post involves providing advocacy, support, challenge and case management in order to provide the most appropriate provision for the young people of Doncaster. The post holder will manage an ever-changing caseload of young people who attend short-term alternative provision provided by the Local Authority.

The post holder will work with families, children and schools to ensure that all statutory and local guidance around permanent exclusion is adhered to.

The post will promote inclusion, via a specialist advisory and support service to schools in relation to the effective coordination of alternative provision, managed moves and other specialist education placements.
