Production Foreman – Contremaître de production

Reporting to the production director, the production foreman must plan, organize, direct and control all warehouse activities and shipments / receptions in order to ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers. The foreman/supervisor must propose and implement ideas for improvement to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and increase the health and safety of workers.

Job duties and responsibilities

Coordinate and communicate the daily tasks of his team members.

Plan and manage storage spaces while respecting volume constraints, shipping / receiving dates, stock rotation.

Perform human resources management activities.

Carry out performance evaluations.

Take disciplinary action as needed.

Train employees on the job in collaboration with experienced employees (training mentorship).

Mobilize and support the members of his team.

Validate the quality of the work and correct any deviations.

Participate in improving internal processes.

Realization of projects (mandate, continuous improvement) with the head of department.

Keep the information surrounding inventory management up to date according to the procedures in force.

Participate, with the plant manager, in the development of the department’s skills development strategy.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:
DEC logistics management

Experience: 5 years and more

Bilingualism, spoken and written

Spanish an asset

General computer skills: Microsoft office suite

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday evening 3:30 pm – 12:00 am
