We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance team here at Domestic & General. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will play a vital role to ensure sound commercial Finance decisions are made across the business.

The role will be responsible for providing a financial overview of the team’s financial responsibilities, as well as co-ordinating and communicating departmental deadlines.

As Finance Analyst you will support the Finance Business Partner to represent Finance on appropriate leadership teams through:

The provision of quality monthly reporting with key linkages between financial and operational metrics

A clear understanding of financials and the impact of results and assumptions on future performance

Being fully embedded within the teams supporting key decisions

Key role responsibilities:
Responsible delivery of Month End process in a timely manner working with the UK Finance Team. This includes review of monthly transactions, preparing accruals and prepayments.

Provision of monthly reporting with key linkages between financials and operational metrics.

Monthly reviews with all budget holders to discuss performance against budget, effectively tracking risks and opportunities.

Co-ordination of all relevant forecasting inputs, producing consistent and accurate financial outputs driven by efficient models.

Co-ordinate with other members within the team to enable delivery of reporting and forecasting requests determined by the Financial Planning & Analysis and Group Finance teams.

Produce departmental financial overviews, review existing processes to enable consistent and effective approaches within the team.

Any other activities required by the wider team in supporting the Business Partnering team.

Skills and experience required:
Proven Finance Analytical experience

Previous experience of Finance Business Partnering

Working towards a Professional accounting qualification – ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent/ Part qualified CIMA / ACCA

Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Technically competent on Excel and PowerPoint

Attention to detail essential

Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across all levels

Good commercial awareness

Ability to work collaboratively across functions.

Able to use initiative and be a self starter

A critical thinker with analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to maintain professional relationships with senior management

Demonstrate an active role in process improvements
