About the Job
The Financial department is a key part of the management team responsible for the restaurants overall financial health and performance so that the business can grow and better serve its guests, employees and investors! This open position’s key functions include financial systems building, strategic planning, financial reporting, forecasting, internal control, payroll, accounting, risk management, and tax preparation. The successful candidate should have an understanding of the hospitality industry, specific to the foodservice sector,working experiences of big corporation. They are detail-oriented, a numbers all-star, and great at working with others. This is a full-time position, reporting to the parent company team at a fun, mission-driven company with a strong family vibe.
Job Responsibilities
1. Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties and use Quickbooks at an expert level
2. Coordinate payroll activities to ensure all pay data is compiled, processed, and reconciled in an accurate and timely manner to meet all payroll deadlines
3. Execute payroll transactions including transmitting, processing, and generating payroll runs
4. Act as a pivotal contact to provide resolution for any payroll tax issues and all employee concerns regarding payroll related issues
5. Prepare all accounting functions including A/R, A/P, Revenue, Cost of sales, inventory, assets recording, liability and expenses entries by compiling account information
6. Responsible for the timely preparation of semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement and internal financial reporting packages for management
7. Assist in designing and implementing internal control, and preparation of budget
8. Perform full cycle progress billing and tracking
9. Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, including inter-company accounts and petty cash reconciliations, journal and data entries
10. Track and issue employee reimbursements
11. Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics. Professional qualifications such as CPA or similar would be considered a plus
2. Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a full-cycle accounting or finance environment
3. Knowledge of QuickBooks is required, thorough knowledge of accounting principles & payroll financial accounting procedures
4. In-depth knowledge of finance including financial reporting, statements, internal audit, data analysis, payroll systems, and finance software
5. Highly developed software skills including: Microsoft Office and Excel
6. Adept organizational, time management, problem solving, and planning skills
7. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, ability to work effectively with company leaders and store management teams
8. Restaurant or hospitality industry experience is an asset
9. Must be able to fluently speak and write in English and Mandarin
