We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual with experience in a similar role to join our team in Coolangatta on full-time basis. As Finance Manager, you will oversee the finance department and identify business needs.

What does a typical day look like?

You will be responsible for overseeing the finance department in planning, directing and controlling all financial activities across the Jetstar business. You will be required to provide financial and commercial advice to senior management.

What are your responsibilities?*

• Manage, lead and mentor the Finance team across the Jetstar business
• Plan, forecast, report on sales, costs and business performance, according to Jetstar requirements on each Jetstar operation
• Create a yearly budget in line with forecast annually for each Jetstar operation
• Establish and manage contractual P&L’s including Baseline’s, Notional P&L’s, and dnata JQ budgets.
• Manage and maintain effectiveness of IT and other essential accounting and reporting systems (e.g. Accpac & Prologistica & Touchpoint)
• Attend Jetstar meetings and contribute to operations and finance requirements
• Plan and manage Jetstar activities in accordance with agreed budgets
• Report as necessary on Jetstar commercial and financial performance against contracted KPI’s, and agreed baseline and budget
• Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness between operations and finance
• Liaise with service providers and subcontractors where necessary to resolve financial and commercial issues
• Ensure team reporting deadlines are met in accordance with Jetstar requirements and contractual obligations
• Assist Jetstar team members with problem solving issues and provide adhoc financial and commercial information and reports as requested
• Establish and maintain productive and mutually beneficial working relationships with Jetstar staff including representatives from the Finance, Inflight, and Ancillary Revenue departments.

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?*

• Demonstrated success in a similar role
• Proven Leadership and People Management Experience
• CPA or CA qualified
• Financial / Management Accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Highly developed communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build complex spreadsheets
• Knowledge of Accpac and Crystal reports an advantage
• Excellent time management skills
