DMF Marketing values collaboration, creativity, initiative, and performance. We are seeking a full-time Training & Education Leader to join our team.

As the Training & Education Leader, you will fulfill various duties and responsibilities, including organizing, administering, and scheduling training sessions both internally for new employees of DMF and externally for our channel of customers and sales representatives.

You will to the Director of Commercial Growth and work collaboratively with all DMF departments to prepare training action plans, allocate resources, and execute within allotted timeframes.

This is an onsite role, expected to be in-office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities include :

The Training & Education Leader will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing various training and development programs both internal and external to DMF Lighting, planning programs from start to finish including identifying learning objectives, content, methods, resources, timelines, and evaluation criteria.

Internal to DMF :

• New employee on-boarding establish 30-60-90 day knowledge expectations of our industry, product, and internal processes
• Work with Department Heads to develop a curriculum specific to each role that should be trained and covered during the onboarding process that aligns with the strategic objectives of the company.
• Work with Department Heads to identify and execute continuous education opportunities for personnel professional and industry-specific growth opportunities, and seek out new tools
• Conduct new product launch training for internal training on features, process changes, and marketing initiatives.
• Become an SME on Internal software tools (Oracle, Expensify, Navan, Box, etc.)
• Work with Human Resources to identify company-wide training that could be necessary and to the benefit of the organization and company culture.

External to DMF

• Lead weekly live online customer product demonstrations & training from the DMF Studio
• Manage new rep onboarding training.
• Manage 1 on 1 virtual training when our reps add new employees to their teams.
• Manage product training section of in-person customer & rep visits.
• Advise on the structure and messaging of the in-person training curriculum of other presenters to be most effective.
• Develop training materials for
• Product Launches
• DMF Self-Service Tools
• Processes (where needed)
• Specific Stakeholders (Contractors, Distributors, Lighting Designers, Architects, Engineers, End Users, Interior Designers)
• Specific Market Verticals (Hospitality, Multifamily, Healthcare, Education, Residential)
• Self Service Tools Training for external stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of program implementation by creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, plans, and s related to training initiatives with corresponding KPIs.

To succeed in this role, the Training & Education Leader will require excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with various internal teams to deliver results within deadlines and have a vision to creatively approach disseminating the wealth of institutional knowledge those at DMF have to digestible pieces that will stay with our team.

Ultimately, the Training Manager’s role is to ensure internally and externally DMF is effectively training our internal staff, extended sales force (reps), and customers (specifiers, contractors, distributors).

Requirements :

• 5-7 years of proven work experience preferably as a training or development manager in a corporate field or parallel experience in the education field or the lighting industry
• Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management with the ability to meet deadlines and the leadership prowess to execute.
• Outstanding communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.
• Thorough understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design techniques, and evaluation methods
• Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills
• Confidence in public speaking both on camera and via in-person presentations.
• Experience with developing training materials & processes to track and evaluate effectiveness.
• BS or BA in a related field, education, communication, human resources
• 10-15% travel required annually.
