DLL Hiring for Accounting Clerk (6 month fixed term contract) – Entry level Job at Sydney Full Time

As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for accounting and executing all financial transactions in a complete, timely and accurate manner, in line with applicable financial internal and external rules and regulations, in order to realize up-to-date and reliable accounting activities. This is an initial 6 month contract. We encourage graduates and early stage career candidates to apply.

Your function

• Provide operational and functional support to the Team Leader and other team members as required with specific responsibility for processing of deposits received from customers, as well as general accounting responsibilities, for the Australian and New Zealand group and joint venture companies.
• Responsible for checking the daily Account Payable transaction batches with document load into shared drive and the banking system.
• Responsible for setting up vendor id in timely manner into the accounting system (Great Plains).
• Responsible for match the Accounts Receivable general ledger transaction into the accounting system.
• Check Monthly GST amounts in Great Plains (accounting system) to source data, including retail contracts, Floorplan invoices and AP invoices.
• Execute accounting activities, including file processing and booking reconciliation and contribute to the month-end closing.

Your profile

• Experience in high volume environment preferred. Leasing experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields.
• You are comfortable using Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
