As an Accounting Associate, you would be responsible for performing day to day AP and AR functions in the Accounting department. The duties include processing and reconciling a variety of accounting documents such as invoices, billings and check disbursements with a high level of accuracy and must be organized with good time management skills as well the ability to multitask.

Position expectations include:

• Process billings to customers
• Process and Post all AP invoices
• Research and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers
• Prepare and Process documents for check disbursement
• Review check disbursements for accuracy
• Review vendor statements
• Review and clear PO receiving reports
• Freight billing to customers and posting into AP module
• Process customer credit card payments
• Assist with purchasing card reconciliations as needed
• Additional duties as related to AP/AR as needed

Experience and skills required:

• Prior accounting or comparable office experience
• Proven history of data entry skills and experience in Excel
• Proficient in use of computers and common office equipment
• Knowledge in Microsoft office and windows based applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work independently as well as part of a team
• Must have a professional telephone manner with the ability to maintain composure and remain pleasant under high pressure situations
• Excellent time management skills
