This position is located at our manufacturing facility in Candiac, Quebec. The position of Warehouse Worker, is a contract role for approx 12 months.

General Description of Duties and Objectives :
Under the general supervision of the Plant Manager, This position is accountable/responsible for the safe and efficient performance operation of Fork-lift for the handling of warehouse requirements. Must actively participate and comply with our Health and Environmental program including training initiatives and following all policies and procedures. This position works in a team environment and is required to assist others as necessary, but must have demonstrated skills as a self starter and be self directed.Due to facility size must be able to help in manufacturing (packaging finished goods)

Specific Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Warehouse Support

• Operate Fork-Lift to transport materials in performance of loading, staging and storage functions in accordance with company and equipment operation procedures and regulations
• Receive incoming shipments while verifying material condition and quantities in accordance with standard procedures. Check carrier documentation prior to unloading to verify appropriate information
• Operate machinery and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Prepare and stage material for shipment on appropriate dock and load trailers in accordance with loading procedures and completing required shipping paperwork
• Perform a variety of inventory functions including cycle count and inventory transactions using JD Edwards computer software
• Transport and warehouse materials received or produced to appropriate areas in the warehouse according to existing material recording system
• Maintain equipment
• Follow all our ISO9001 and EH&S policies and / or procedures
• Will meet efficiency standards established for the position while ensuring internal/external customer requirements are met or exceeded

In addition to those listed above, due to the size of our facility, should be able to help in manufacturing, especially in packaging finished goods

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma, post secondary and/or previous work experience considered an asset

Special Sills or Knowledge Required:

• competency equivalent to grade eleven (secondary five) math and French (oral and written). English knowledge is considered a plus
• valid forklift license and a minimum 1 year previous forklift operation experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• forklift equipment experience on standup, sitdown, propane is highly preferred for this position
• knowledge of chemicals and chemical handling and Transportation of Dangerous Goods procedures (current transportation of dangerous goods certification required)
