Dispatch Staffing Hiring for Locum Nurse Practitioner Acute Inpatient Full Time

We are seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioners for one of our clients 2.5-3hr drive north of Toronto.

Setting: Acute Inpatient less than 20 beds, some beds are occupied by chronic patients

Current immediate needs: January 1 – January 7th; 4 day training provided if needed and available and ongoing schedule based on availability.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses

• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients

• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures

• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

• BSCN NP certificate or Masters Degree

• A current certificate of competence, registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in the extended class (RNEC) in good standings

• A member of NPAO

• Professional liability insurance.

• Valid license and vehicle

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields

• Ability to build rapport with patients

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership qualities

Experience

• Working with a multidisciplinary team of Physicians and other health professionals in a medical setting.

• Working in an Inpatient environment delivering collaborative care.

• Working with community partners and sharing patient care.

• Working with a Medical record such as EPIC

Job Types: Casual, Part-time

Salary: From $135.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Greater Toronto Area, ON: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
