Job Title: Finance Analyst (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Job Summary

Disney Destinations International (DDI), formerly known as Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (WDP&R) is a division of Disney Parks Experiences and Products (DPEP) part of The Walt Disney Company Ltd (TWDC). DDI is responsible for the commercial support and marketing of Disneyland Paris (DLP), Walt Disney World (WDW) and Disney Cruise Line (DCL) within the UK and other EMEA countries.

Based in London, this 6 month role is responsible for the delivery of financial support to aid the operation of the DLP UK Marketing and Commercial team and wider DDI portfolio as required.

The role has ownership and control of the local DLP Marketing and Sales budget and is responsible for the maintenance and delivery of a DDI business metric reporting suite to support day to day functioning of the business through the timely provision of up to date information.

This role also provides support to the DLP Central Finance team, as well as financial expertise and analysis for the DDI Senior Leadership team, to enable for sound commercial business decision making.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

Disneyland Paris (DLP UK) Budget Management:

• Support Head of Finance with ownership and control of DLP UK marketing and sales budget, including overhead management (~ £4M) / £105M Revenue
• Preparation and delivery of monthly Actual versus Budget (AVB) reconciliation for DLP marketing and sales spend and overhead costs
• Ownership and delivery of detailed monthly variance analysis for submission to Central DLP Finance team
• Monthly consolidation of planned Marketing and Sales/Co-op tactics for preparation of monthly forecast – detail used to advise Central DLP Finance team on full year projections and provide full variance explanations
• Ownership, training and control of DLP UK finance tracking system, including coordination of monthly review meetings with budget holders and ensuring most up to date forecast information is represented
• Provision of financial and strategic support during preparation of the DLP Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and collaboration with the DLP Strategy Manager and Head of DLP Commercial to provide strategic support during AOP process
• Administration of financial controls – credit control analysis, invoice & expense controls, creation of DLP purchase order (PO/EB) requests and assistance in the resolution of payment queries via DLP accounting centre

Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line (EMEA) Budget Support:

• Support Head of Finance with WDW and DCL EMEA budget management
• Preparation and delivery of detailed monthly actuals reconciliation

DDI Portfolio Reporting & Analytics:

• Preparation of DLP weekly ROBs (rooms on books) and PU (pick-up) reports with relevant analysis to provide in-depth commentary in HOBs (Heads of Business) meeting and preparation of weekly business review/update summary for distribution to DLP EMEA Leadership Team
• Ownership of DLP Trade Partner pick-up reports and query management
• WDW room night and admission sales phasing report to provide insight for WDW Commercial team on account performance
• DCL EMEA monthly revenue summary reports for distribution within UK and O-EMEA countries
• Support the DDI finance intern with invoice receipt, logging, coding, approval and resolution of supplier queries / payment issues

Finance support and training for wider DDI team:

• Ownership of UK DLP system tools (businessinfonet, NEMO) and provide ad hoc training as required
• Provide ad hoc financial analytics and strategic support to the DDI Strategy Team, UK Commercial support and contracts team and DDI UK Leadership team
• Display strong SAP knowledge and be point of contact for SAP queries and troubleshooting (purchase order and expenses super user)
• SAP support and training of new starters, including Casual Buyer induction for new interns
• Assist with support and development of the DDI Finance Intern, including managing day to day workload and queries

The Experience We Require From You:

• Degree-level education in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Part or recently qualified accountant
• Financial and management accounting experience
• SAP experience
• Travel industry experience is desirable
• High attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in deliverables
• Strong written and oral communication skills, essential
• Computer literate in MS office package with strong Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills
• Excellent organisational skills, with ability to prioritise workflow while managing a variety of tasks
• Ability to deal with multi-cultural clients and peers
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to proactively collaborate, leverage central efforts and, when appropriate, take direction from UK management team

• French language skills helpful, but not essential
