As a Sr Software Engineer – Caching, you will be joining a small, high energy, focused team that is creating an industry-changing TV ad selection and analytics system. It has to scale to thousands of channels, tens of thousands of ads and millions of viewers. You will be working with technologists who invented the foundational technologies that underlie the delivery of video over the Internet today. The system we are building will be similarly disruptive to TV advertising. Think analytics better than Google for TV advertising. Think millions of ad targeting decisions happening within a few seconds!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Sr Software Engineer – Caching, you will be joining a small, high energy, focused team that is creating an industry-changing TV ad selection and analytics system. You will be working with technologists who invented the foundational technologies that underlie the delivery of video over the Internet today. The system we are building will be similarly disruptive to TV advertising. Think analytics better than Google for TV advertising. Think millions of ad targeting decisions happening within a few seconds!
This position is onsite located in American Fork, UT.
Relocation assistance will be provided.

Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried Exempt
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and building scalable servers and systems with analytics running in a critical control loop.
- Integrating, designing and developing external-facing APIs that will communicate with various systems.
- Use internal and external web services including AI which will be used to make ad decisions in real time.
- Taking ownership of your projects and able to drive scalable architectural decisions with little oversight while building appropriate documentation.
- Interfacing with other teams to help them consume this new data in meaningful ways; being able to support various non-traditional uses and users of the APIs.
Work Attire: Smart Casual to Business Casual
Work hours: Regular full-time business hours (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week).
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s (BS) or master’s (MA) degree in Computer Science or closely-related field and 5 years of progressive professional experience.
Experience:
- Experience with advertising protocols such as VAST, VPAID, playout beacons, working with Freewheel, etc. is a big plus.
- Significant experience building web services using REST, C++, Java, Json, JavaScript, Php, Python, etc.
- Big data experience using Kafka, AWS (EC2 & S3), Hadoop, Elastic Search, and Kibana.
- 5+ years of working Linux.

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role’s location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
Salary Range: USD $114000.00 – $157000.00 / Year
