Pelmen Foods is seeking a senior-level Director of Brand & Creative with strong food industry experience to lead the creative direction, content strategy, and brand execution across multiple consumer food brands.
This is not a traditional marketing role.
We are looking for someone who combines strong creative instincts with hands-on execution — someone who understands branding, packaging, social media, storytelling, and consumer behavior, and can turn ideas into high-quality creative work.
You will help lead and shape multiple brands including:
• Pelmen Foods
• Holy Perogy! Restaurant
• Holy Perogy! Frozen Retail
• BigYum & others
You will oversee creative execution across packaging, social media, digital advertising, photography, video, retail marketing, trade shows, and new product launches.
We have a full in-house photo and video studio, allowing us to create content internally and move quickly.
Responsibilities
Brand Leadership
• Lead and maintain brand identity across all platforms and channels
• Establish and uphold brand standards and creative systems
• Ensure consistency across all consumer touchpoints
• Act as the primary creative owner across all brands
Creative Direction
• Oversee creative direction for packaging, social media, advertising, retail marketing, trade shows, and campaigns
• Review and approve all creative materials to maintain high visual and brand standards
• Direct product photography and video shoots
• Develop creative briefs and shot lists
Marketing & Content Strategy
• Lead content planning and social media strategy
• Support and guide paid advertising initiatives across digital channels
• Develop campaign concepts and launch initiatives
• Help drive consumer engagement and brand growth
Project & Team Leadership
• Coordinate and manage designers, photographers, videographers, agencies, printers, and freelancers
• Manage timelines, priorities, and creative deliverables
• Support creation and refinement of presentations, mockups, and marketing materials
• Help build and lead our internal creative department as it grows
Requirements
• 7–12+ years of experience in branding, creative, marketing, or related roles
• Strong portfolio in branding, packaging, social media, and creative direction
• Proven experience with consumer food or CPG brands required
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, photography, packaging, and visual storytelling
• Experience developing social media and content strategies
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
