Job Description
Knowledge of experience in – Design and Development Costing, Gear machine shop, Gear HOBBING.
We are seeking a Costing Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our team in Chakan, Pune. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering and a strong understanding of cost analysis to help ensure our projects are financially viable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Cost Estimation**: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analyzing specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documentation to provide accurate forecasts.
2. **Budget Management**: Monitor project budgets and expenses throughout the lifecycle of projects, ensuring adherence to financial targets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
3. **Data Analysis**: Use Excel and other software tools to analyze production costs and pricing, helping to develop strategies for competitive pricing and enhanced profitability.
4. **Collaboration**: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for effective costing and ensure alignment on financial goals.
5. **Reporting**: Create regular reports detailing cost performance metrics and present findings to management for informed decision-making.
Required Skills and Expectations:
The successful candidate should hold a relevant engineering degree and possess strong analytical skills to interpret data effectively. Proficiency in costing tools and software, particularly Excel, is essential. Strong communication abilities and a collaborative attitude are necessary to work well within teams. The candidate should be detail-oriented, motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Being proactive and adaptable to changes will contribute to success in this role.
