Position Overview
Strong ticketing sales agent with at least 5 years GDS experience (Apollo, Sabre, or both preferred) is needed for a national GDS leisure support role. We are looking for someone with proven ticketing skills to support leisure agents in troubleshooting GDS issues, proving training with scripts, etc, and possibly issuing air tickets for the ITAs that need assistance.
This position can be fully remote
Responsibilities
Respond to written requests in timely fashion
Monitor GDS queues for schedule changes
Create Sabre & Apollo logins
Troubleshoot GDS questions and issues from agents
Provide training on scripts and GDS related processes/functionality
Liaise between advisor and internal support teams (Accounting, Marketing, Technical Support and Payroll/HR) in conjunction with troubleshooting of issues
Assist internal support teams in sorting advisor invoicing/operational issues
Issue domestic and international tickets for leisure agents/ICs
Issue exchanges and partial refunds when needed
Leisure group ticketing
Look for lowest fares and research airline contracts for negotiated commissions
Coordinate seat assignments
Basic Qualifications
5+ years travel agency experience
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
GDS Experience with Apollo and/or Sabre (both preferred)
Demonstrated professional customer service skills
Pragmatic and self-disciplined
Capability of maintaining a favorable company image when interfacing with outside sources
Proven pursuit of learning and self-development
Ability to manage responsibilities in a manner to result in lower costs and better efficiencies for the company
Ability to demonstrate personal and organizational integrity
Capability of working in a team environment supporting management and staff, following policies, providing feedback, assisting in special projects, and taking on additional responsibility
Effective oral and written communications skills
Organizational skills that result in high productivity
Clientbase experience preferred
