To support the business, we’re recruiting for two People & Talent Partners to join us on a permanent basis.

As a People and Talent Partner you will partner ExCo members and through collaboration with them and their leadership teams, and with support from the Lead People Partner as needed, you will diagnose current and future workforce needs / plans and will provide strategic counsel, challenge and insight based on a deep understanding of how the business operates. You will proactively determine potential people implications and opportunities and will co-create solutions with HR CoEs and business stakeholders. You will prioritise focus and activity based on the greatest business need with highest commercial and people impact.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting into our Lead People Partner, you will support your ExCo stakeholders with embedding the People strategy into the business and supporting on strategic changes. Across our entire business, there’s some sort of transformation going on, whether it’s a tech, data, or people transformation, and our People Partners are truly critical in ensuring the functions stay aligned.

You will partner ExCo members and work closely with their leadership teams and colleagues across the HR function to lead strategic people discussions and diagnose current and future strategic workforce plans and associated activity across large scale business units.

  Strategic Advisor: Developing an intimate understanding of the key strategic business goals, problems and opportunities and the different commercial and people levers that influence them. You will be naturally curious, able to think holistically about different moving parts and be comfortable providing advice and constructive challenge to Senior leaders and their teams. In partnership with ExCo members, business leadership teams and the Head of Talent and Leadership you will lead the talent and leadership capability agenda across their business areas, supporting the wider Future Skills and Talent strategies.

  Influential Storyteller: You will work with colleagues across HR and the business to influence key decisions through clear communication, relationship building and proactive management of our networks. You’ll proactively share business knowledge and insight across the HR function, and actively participate, steer and support HR CoE’s with the shaping and embedding of central HR activity across business areas

  Data-Driven Problem Solver: You’ll solve problems through the interpretation and manipulation of data
• 
  Independent Voice: You’ll navigate between the needs of ExCo and the overall needs of HR and DLG, maintaining an independent perspective to ensure all decisions are aligned to key strategic priorities and business need. You will act as the gatekeeper of all change activity, leading initial discussions with business stakeholders to identify the reason for change and the impact across the existing workforce and resource requirements. You will provoke thought, challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure all viable options have been considered.

  Trusted Coach: People Partners have a unique position at the intersection of strategy, organisation, and talent; a key element of the role is giving advice and coaching to critical stakeholders. Working with ExCo, you will identify the development needs of senior leaders in business areas and will work with the Head of Talent and Leadership to agree individual and team solutions and build development plans. You will also use your expert knowledge and experience to proactively lead and contribute to the development of the craft of the wider People & Talent Partner community. You will support the Senior People and Talent Partners and Lead People partners with projects / activity and attend meetings with them as required.

What we’re looking for

• Operational/Functional Leadership
• Excellent senior stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to create strong relationships to drive strategic conversations and outcomes.
• Ability to seek and gather a broad range of information and data with the ability to translate different data points into compelling, relevant and meaningful narratives and use data to influence and measure impact.
• Good business and commercial acumen and experience partnering the business to develop strong business cases

What you’ll need

• Generalist HR Knowledge with at least one area of specialism e.g. People Change
• Experience of working with and advising at ExCo/Senior Leadership stakeholder level on strategic people activity, including problem solving.
• Organisational redesign & strategic talent management
