JOB TITLE: Deposit Operations Specialist
REPORT TO: Deposit Operations Manager
DEPARTMENT: Deposit Operations
Position Summary: Assist the Department Manager in the daily operations and act as a resource to staff ensuring efficient department production. Provide support for all deposit-based operational functions including account maintenance, research, correspondence and customer service.
Responsibilities:

• Assists in the oversight of the daily operations of department and support staff by:
• Monitoring daily activities of operations representatives
• Providing support, assistance and backup for department staff in completing daily functions of the department
• Intervening and resolving the more complex customer service issues that arise
• Approving scheduling changes, attendance

• Provide support to branch personnel.
• Offer courteous and professional services for customer inquiries and problems with prompt responses and resolutions.
• Review and approve daily overdrafts.
• Manage IRA and H.S.A. accounts; monitor activities, provide reports, resolve problems relating to IRA and H.S.A. issues.
• Act as ATM liaison with Hack Henry & Associates (JHA) for Year End, Release/Upgrade, and new ATM installations.
• Generate, balance and review department reports; reconcile general ledger accounts (i.e. ChexSystems, IOLTA & IOREBTA, Bill Payment Accounts)
• Perform data entry into JHA-account and customer maintenance, account transactions; monitor account activity and assist with account or customer research.
• Process wires on Fedline Advantage, Bankers’ Bank Northeast and JHA.
• Assist Operations Manager in overseeing department production, maintaining an efficient and cooperative environment, completion of performance reviews, resolution of personnel issues, and staff training.
• Adopt needs based sales culture by actively listening and uncovering needs for sales referrals where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as may be required from time to time by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Requirements:

• Significant experience with deposit services, products and procedures.
• Supervisory and customer service experience.
• Ability to perform well and keep up with responsibilities in a high volume, fast paced working environment.
• Proficiency with JHA; Proficiency in Windows based computer systems including MS Office.
• Significant practical experience with data processing service, ATM systems and Electronic Banking systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of the bank’s procedures and policies.
• Ability to work in pressure situations, delegate and prioritize.
• Completion of courses and seminars as directed by management.
