Objectives:

Rare opportunity to establish and develop the financial reporting and compliance capability for a newly formed, fast-growing group of businesses

The Group Finance Manager will take ownership of the Group’s nascent management and statutory reporting processes, working with the Group Financial Controller, senior Finance colleagues, and other advisors as required to deliver timely, insightful monthly consolidated management reporting and efficient annual statutory reporting and tax compliance for the Group.

The Group Finance Manager will be the Group’s go-to technical resource, leading the development of the Group’s technical accounting and control frameworks and compiling technical analysis on new standards and business initiatives as required. Responsibilities will also include playing a key role in the ongoing development of the Group’s new NetSuite system, and maintaining and developing the Group’s tax compliance processes and control frameworks.

The Group Finance Manager will also ensure all treasury compliance requirements are understood and met, including covenant calculation and reporting and periodic interest and fee settlements, and will own and develop the short-term cash flow forecasting and reporting processes.

This role will also be required to manage and develop two direct reports, who will be expected to support the Group Finance Manager in delivering all the objectives set out above.

Responsibilities

• Ownership and development of the monthly consolidation and management reporting processes
• Ownership of annual statutory compliance processes at consolidated and subsidiary level, including providing a key point of contact for the Group’s auditors and tax advisers
• Ownership of the technical accounting framework of the Group, developing an IFRS Group Accounting Manual and appropriate monitoring procedures to ensure its consistent application across the Group
• Ownership and development of a Group financial and tax risk assessment and control framework
• Support the ongoing development of the Group’s new NetSuite system, taking responsibility for the appropriate systemization and automation of key Group processes and controls, with a particular focus on the Group consolidation
• Ensuring robust processes are in place to ensure timely, effective compliance with all covenant and reporting requirements associated with the Group’s financing
• Owning and developing the Group’s short-term liquidity forecasting and reporting
• Supporting the Group Financial Controller as required in other areas, including corporate treasury and other project work

• Qualified accountant with significant PQE, including meaningful experience of group consolidations and consolidated reporting
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• High attention to detail, comfortable working with large quantities of raw data
• Ability to work autonomously, managing own workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Good communicator, able to build and develop effective relationships in a predominantly remote working environment
• Experienced people manager, comfortable setting objectives and managing team priorities
• While not a pre-requisite, some experience of tax and corporate finance would be beneficial
