Due to continued growth of a truly innovative and growing organisation asset as the introduction of new technologies, An organisation located in Blackburn are now looking to grow their internal IT teams with the introduction of a new Software Developer. The successful candidate will be required to have excellent analytical as well as problem-solving skills, whilst also providing a customer-centric support approach.

Key tasks in the role:
To develop MSSQL and MYSQL queries and procedures for a wide range of systems

• Build and fine tune MSSQL and MYSQL databases
• Ensure data is accessible between applications
• Create API tasks and develop RESTful services
• Manage the delivery of new integrations between disparate systems
• Build appropriate and useful reporting capabilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
• Produce SQL table data, deliverable to the accounting team for Business Intelligence Reporting
• Develop PHP web based solutions, supporting the E-commerce team
• Build reports and support data related for ERP analysts
• Investigate exceptions regarding data anomalies and integrity
• Support API integration troubleshooting and technical resolution of various systems

Skills / Experiance:

• Must be able to troubleshoot complex database issues
• Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer, Software Developer or similar role
• Experience of developing data warehouses desirable
• VB.NET experience desirable
• Familiarity with GIT or SVN versioning tools
• Knowledge of PHP, HTML and JavaScript
• Experience with REST API and SOAP API development
• Excellent understanding of MSSQL and MYSQL Server
• Previous experience of ERP and Business Intelligence platforms
• Ability to write custom SQL Queries and excellent Transact SQL skills
• Skilled at optimisation of large SQL statements
• Excellent QA, Coding and Project Management Skills
• Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
