Construction/Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a responsible Construction Accounting Assistant to perform a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Duties include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and completing accounting activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent accounting, oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices.
• Perform basic calculations.
• Type formal bids and requests for proposals; knowledge of AIA documents required.
• Assist with accounts receivables and account payables.
• Type up Service invoices and send weekly.
• Maintain project insurance requirements including subcontractors.
• Ability to write Subcontracts and enter in system.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Organize and schedule appointments.
• Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, business letters and forms.
• Maintain electronic filing system.
• Update and maintain office policies and procedures.
• Order office supplies.
• Maintain contact lists.
• Additional projects as assigned.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction office.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite)
• Working knowledge of ProCore, EBuilder and Sage Construction Systems.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Experience

• Three plus years of experience in construction office.
• Government contracting experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
