Permanent and Fixed Term Roles Available

Maturation Operator
Salary – £29,985.85 + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus
Shift – Core Day Shift. (Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 14:00)
About the Role
Within our hardworking team within Northern Maturation you will be responsible for the safe movement of spirit within an established set of process procedures. You will be required to support a range of activities including filling, warehousing (cask intake and removal), disgorging and empty cask handling, whist ensuring targets are achieved relating to quality, service, and cost to meet Revenue and Customs requirements.
Operate equipment / machinery (cask hardener, FLTs, cask handling equipment)
Actively supporting and contributing to the Business strategies will be a constant requirement of the position.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate and promote positive actions and behaviours within and out with the workplace consistent with Diageo values.
What You’ll Bring
A strong understanding of Health and Safety.
You’ll possess sound literacy, numerical skills and PC skills.
You’ll need to be flexible to work at multiple sites (a fleet car will be provided for this) so you must have a clean driving license.
Most important attribute will be to have the right behavioural skills, which demonstrate a “can do will do attitude” whilst adhering to Diageo safety standards.
Senior & Day Operator
Senior Operator – Salary – £56,900 including shift allowance + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus
Day Operator – Salary – £30,800 + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus
Shift – Senior Operator roles will cover a 7-day rota across nightshift backshift & early shift, Day Operator roles will cover a 5-day rota across day shift, providing on-site support to the distillery.
About the role
As a Senior Operator within our dedicated teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in the whisky production process and will oversee and control all site production and process activities. You’re going to be responsible for both manual and automated production recording and management ing systems. We want to see how you will optimise our production processes to maximise our performance.
As a Day Operator you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of our distillery. You’ll work safely within the operational team, ensuring that you are delivering collective performance. Develop operational, improvement, and maintenance skills to support operations. Be accountable for delivery of effective communications to team members that works across shifts.
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets including quality, efficiency, energy management, planning and cost efficiency.

It’d be beneficial if you had a General Certificate in Distilling or a Degree in associated sciences along with your high school grades however this is not essential.
