The aim of the global Business Process Optimization (BPO) is to optimize the value flow along globally streamlined end-to-end transactional HR processes. The BPO is key in driving, shaping and enforcing the end to end HR process flows within DHL Supply Chain. The BPO work includes improving process quality, fulfilling the customer’s expectations and reducing process cost; further benefits include reduced and more predictable audit fees and effort and enhanced security controls.
The HR BPO department is structured along process towers and supporting roles. Process towers are responsible for owning end-to-end processes, collection, assessment, documentation and standardization of existing processes. In addition the process towers will be responsible for implementing newly or amended standardized processes and continuously checking compliance and performance for improvements in collaboration with supporting roles.
What does your day to day role look like?
Interact with assigned stakeholders of the regional/country HR organizations and the BPO peer group; provide feedback on process-related content topics and questions of low-medium complexity regarding the HR process and develop solutions fitting the customer’s needs
Align proposed process changes with assigned stakeholders (e.g. country representatives)
Document processes using agreed methodology/framework and assess completeness/complete if required (e.g. via interviews)
Assess cost/benefit of potential process improvements and make recommendations
Shape the topic conceptually as a recognized subject matter expert
Document the global process including local adaptions, process-based internal controls and process-based KPIs and make it available to all relevant stakeholder groups; thereby adhere to agreed process design standards
Design and incorporate suggested and approved changes to the process; communicate changes to affected teams; keep all documentation regarding process up-to-date; design approved changes in the local adaptions of the Target Operating Model (TOM)
Provide expertise and analyses on BPO issues of low-medium complexity regarding design and documentation of the Recruit and Onboard process both internally (e.g. within Global HR BPO) and externally (e.g. to regional/country HR organization)
Perform end-to-end standardization of the process in alignment with BPO peer group and assigned stakeholders of entities outside the HR organization
As a recognized subject matter expert, collect and document relevant process tower knowledge and best practices to keep global design up to industry standards; share knowledge and best practices across regions
What do we need from you?
Experience of systems-related HR employee, process improvement/management or project management
Intermediate understanding of transactional HR processes
Ability to analyze business low-medium complexity processes and provide recommendation for optimizing them
Good general business and operational management experience
Basic technical knowledge of global and regional systems, ideally Oracle/SAP HRMS
