DHL Supply Chain has a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant to work on our NUMS contract. The NUMS contract is a very unique and diverse contract unlike any other in DHL Supply chain. We provide end to end supply chain management services to provide the Police forces throughout the country with uniform and PPE as well as providing the wider internal DHL sites with any uniform requirements.

As a Finance Assistant you will support with all aspects of accounting and payroll duties as well as ensuring key KPI data is provided on time. This will give you scope to enhance your current skills as well as the opportunity to develop and grow towards progression in your career. The role will provide the opportunity to work in a diverse welcoming team where support and assistance will always be given to ensure that the customer’s needs are always met as well as a great atmosphere to work.

The Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:

• Responsible for all weekly payroll checks and monthly payroll processes. Submission of payroll. Updating site holiday and sickness records
• Ensuring all purchase orders are raised in accordance with accounting & company guidelines
• Process invoices and payments via company corporate and commercial credit cards
• Control of purchase ledgers, to ensure correct recording and charging to the customer. Any discrepancies to be resolved in a timely manner
• Ensuring robust process and solutions are implemented
• Helping prepare accurate reports, models, budgets and forecasts
• Ordering of office stationary, operations uniform and sie consumables
• General administrative duties for site and operation team
• Agency Pos and reconcilations
• Working alongside finance Assistants and finance manager – liasing with site management team

To be successful as a Finance Assistant in DHL Supply Chain you need the following:

• Effective communication and rapport building skills
• Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
• A customer centric approach to finance and business operations
• An extremely high work ethic
• Motivation for career progression and development
• A basic knowledge of the use and meaning of finance metrics and tools
• Ability to gather and correlate correct date
• Ability to apply DPDHL financial policies to a limited range of activities
