Are you currently studying your AAT/ degree and interested in a role within Finance? If so, DHL Supply Chain could be a great place for you.

The Finance Assistant will support our Open Book customer contract at a newly built Milton Keynes Digital Centre site. You will be closely working with a Finance Manager as a team of 2. As a Finance Assistant you will be supporting in customer reporting requirements, raising supplier purchase orders, processing payroll and resolving payroll queries.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure on a fascinating contract with strong support from the Finance Manager.

The Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include

• Responsible for all weekly payroll checks and monthly payroll processes. Submission of payroll. Updating site holiday and sickness records
• Ensuring all purchase orders are raised in accordance with accounting & company guidelines
• Process invoices and payments via company corporate and commercial credit cards
• Control of purchase ledgers, to ensure correct recording and charging to the customer. Any discrepancies to be resolved in a timely manner
• Ensuring robust process and solutions are implemented
• Helping prepare accurate reports, models, budgets and forecasts
• Ordering of office stationary, operations uniform and sie consumables
• General administrative duties for site and operation team
• Agency Pos and reconcilations
• Working alongside finance Assistants and finance manager – liasing with site management team

To be successful as a Finance Assistant in DHL Supply Chain you need the following:

• Effective communication and rapport building skills
• Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
• A customer centric approach to finance and business operations
• An extremely high work ethic
• Motivation for career progression and development
• A basic knowledge of the use and meaning of finance metrics and tools
• Ability to gather and correlate correct date
• Ability to apply DPDHL financial policies to a limited range of activities
