Within our Life Sciences business unit at DHL we are working with Ascensia who provide medication to anyone who needs support with managing their blood sugar levels. We support them by managing 14 of their depots from a Warehousing and transport perspective.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant who can support with raising purchase and sales invoices, handling any queries from site and processing journals at month end. We require someone who has previous office experience and has the ability to collaborate ell within a team.

The Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include

• Responsible for all weekly payroll checks and monthly payroll processes. Submission of payroll. Updating site holiday and sickness records
• Ensuring all purchase orders are raised in accordance with accounting & company guidelines
• Process invoices and payments via company corporate and commercial credit cards
• Control of purchase ledgers, to ensure correct recording and charging to the customer. Any discrepancies to be resolved in a timely manner
• Ensuring robust process and solutions are implemented
• Helping prepare accurate reports, models, budgets and forecasts
• Ordering of office stationary, operations uniform and sie consumables
• General administrative duties for site and operation team
• Agency Pos and reconcilations
• Working alongside finance Assistants and finance manager – liasing with site management team

To be successful as a Finance Assistant in DHL Supply Chain you need the following:

• Effective communication and rapport building skills
• Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
• A customer centric approach to finance and business operations
• An extremely high work ethic
• Motivation for career progression and development
• A basic knowledge of the use and meaning of finance metrics and tools
• Ability to gather and correlate correct date
• Ability to apply DPDHL financial policies to a limited range of activities
