This is an entry level accounting role which includes basic financial accounting and accounts payable duties. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy global business and all-round exposure to many activities in the Finance Team.

The Graduate / Assistant Accountant responsibilities will include accounts payable management and some general ledger management. The position is based in Mascot and you will also have the flexibility to work from home after the initial training period, to be discussed at interview. This is a full time role (Monday through Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm).

WHAT WILL MY JOB LOOK LIKE?

Accounts Payable Management:

• Monthly reporting on accounts payable systems (Concur, Basware, GetLean)
• Adhoc Accounts Payable queries
• Processing of Owner Driver Invoices
• Assistance in vendor setup and vendor management
• Travel invoice reporting, accruals and processing

General Leger Management:

• Monitor and clear GLs during month end (Cheque, AP Bank, Customer Refund)
• Reconciling bank and other GL accounts
• Raising Journals for month-end closing
• Manage station petty cash and cheque
• Cash monitoring and follow-ups
• Ad-hoc accruals and reclasses
• Assistance in tax reporting

• Bachelor of Accounting
• Excellent proven academic track record
• Strong attention to detail (analytical and numerical)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Reliability and a can do attitude
• Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task and ‎prioritise your work, whilst working in a fast paced environment
