Reports to: Senior Financial Accountant

Hours: 9.00 – 5.00 pm (30 min lunch)
35 hours/week (and reasonable overtime as required)
Remuneration: £25,000 – £30,000 plus incentives and annual salary review based on performance
Strategic Direction Summary: Contributes to the organisation by delivering such high-quality service that clients see DHBS as the accounting firm of choice.
Position Summary: To assist in the scheduling and supervision of Account Managers, handle on-boarding and off-boarding of clients, system implementation and development to ensure clients receive a highly professional service.
Performance Appraisal: Six-month probation review, 6-weekly 1-2-1 performance review and annually from commencement.

Person Specification
Desirable:
· Strong all-round accounting skills
· Balance Sheet Reconciliation with experience of month end journals
· Experience of providing accountancy support on a self-employed basis or part of a firm
· Experience of managing a small team
· High level of computer literacy, i.e., ability to navigate around a computer and access email, Internet and strong Excel skills
· Organisational skills with high attention to detail
· Good understanding of the accounting industry and relevant software
· Ability to manage workload and complete reports to a set deadline
· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
· Knowledge of VAT or industry specific financial legislative requirements or ability to learn
· Experience of using Xero
· Experience of using Taxcalc
· Commitment to quality management of financial systems and practices
· Experience of producing accurate costings for projects
· Experience of using iMac in an office environment
· Experience of account system implementation and project management
· Understanding of reporting requirements to senior levels of management
