Dexter-Russell, Inc Hiring for Production Planner at Southbridge, MA Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Analyze MRP requirements make decisions to release jobs based on minimum inventory levels.

2. Firm the unfirmed jobs recommended by the MRP system.

3. Review the MRP scheduling board and make recommendations on resolving operational bottle necks.

4. Maintain the proper lot size, and incremental lot size for all finished good (FG) parts.

5. Work with Manager to determine adequate inventory levels.

6. Work with the Sales Department to determine increases in demand due to special promotions and to lay in Forecasts for the most common parts.

7. Support sales and guide them when utilizing Available to Promise

8. Determine appropriate priorities for given parts and jobs on the manufacturing floor.

9. Expedite jobs on the floor that are close to or past the expected finish date.

REQUIRED SKILLS

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

3. Fluently converse, read, and write in English.

4. Proficient with production planning systems and an understanding of MRP and Manufacturing.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. At least 3 years of manufacturing planning

2. Bachelor degree required

3. Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred

4. Epicor experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $51,400.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• APICS: 1 year (Preferred)
