We are growing and have multiple openings within our Machine Operations division at our Grand Rapids, MI facility. Our Machine Operators perform all operations related to manufacturing of corrugate paper products.

Job Description

The Machine Operator performs all operations related to manufacturing of paper products. The position requires a hands-on approach to equipment maintenance and operation to meet customer requirements. The position requires a high degree of attention to detail with the ability to meet production schedules on a daily basis.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Production of currugate paper products
• Performs machine maintenance on a regular basis according to established schedules
• Ensures that product quality is maintained through routine inspections at regular intervals according to established standards
• Responsible for operating machinery, controls, and other equipment when required to meet requirements for product quality and quantity
• Responsible for operating machinery, controls, and other equipment when required to meet requirements for product quality and quantity (i.e., packaging)
• Responsible for operating machinery, controls, and other equipment when required to meet requirements for quality and quantity (i.e., quality control)
• Perform all duties under pressure, under heat/cold/no heat conditions, including lifting heavy items
• Perform duties while working in diverse environments requiring frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling & walking & using hand tools
• Perform assembly as needed (i.e., folding, labeling, packing) – all within or outside of production area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role preferred
• Must have good hand/eye coordination great manual dexterity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
