Our client is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join their team and work on their flagship product. This product is growing faster than all other segments in the business and has generated £400m! Working on this product will consist of dealing with huge amounts of data and new technical challenges due its massive product scale. The current team is super collaborative, friendly, and constantly sharing new ideas. You will learn a lot in this role!
The client is a prestigious and successful trading and stock exchange company known across the world; the total market value of all companies trading on this exchange is over £3.8 trillion!
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining efficient, reusable, reliable and secure code
- Developing enterprise software, adhering to company standards and established software methodology
- Helping the teams develop and learn, by reviewing work of peers and more junior developers
- Actively participating in Scrum meetings
The skill set required includes:
- Java
- AWS
- Any database experience
- MySQL (desirable)
