You will work within Global Transportation Finance, which delivers global capital solutions for the firm’s clients both in the Bank market and the capital markets, and is made up of two business lines, Aviation and Rail business and the shipping business.

The Aviation & Rail business leverages asset and financial knowledge to capture value added opportunities across the capital stack in the aviation and rail sector which include narrow-body aircraft, wide-body aircraft, regional aircraft, freighter aircraft, simulators, corporate jets, helicopters, engines/rotables and railcars/locomotives.

The Shipping business covers multiple industries in commercial shipping such as container vessels, bulk carriers, tankers, and rigs/drill ships as well as and box business.

Your key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support deal origination as well as the structuring and execution of transactions involving a variety of financial instruments
• Coordinate and conduct due diligence processes, engagements with management teams and the negotiation of financing/transaction documentation
• Review and build complex financial models in relation to complex transactions
• Manage internal approval processes including credit, regulatory, market risk
• Coordinate and support deal origination as well as the structuring and execution of transactions involving a variety of financial instruments

Your skills and experience

• Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/work (structured or corporate finance) experience
• Experience working on structured finance transactions across a variety of jurisdictions and products including senior debt, junior debt and capital markets
• Analytical aptitude including, ability to conduct due diligence and assessment of clients’ credit quality and asset analysis, reviewing complex financial models, as well as experience interpreting and negotiating transaction documents
• Excellent communication and stakeholder handling skills, with experience of working with Syndicate, Sales, and external financial institutions to syndicate/sell down exposure
• Understanding, and ability to understand, macro market and industry trends. Numeracy (including accounting knowledge), accuracy and spreadsheet modelling experience and strong aptitude for project management and network development
