Design Management Company Hiring for Logistics Manager at San Francisco, CA, US Full Time

Job purpose

The logistics manager is responsible for the coordination of international shipments, scheduling local client deliveries, managing inventory levels, processing of orders, and general office duties for both San Francisco and Los Angeles showrooms.

Duties and responsibilities

• Interface and support sales staff on client orders to quote handling / delivery / installation
• Coordination of order collection in Italy and scheduling ocean / air freight / expedited services
• Coordination of local delivery / installation of client / inventory orders in Italy
• Generating open order status s for sales team weekly
• Generating inventory s for sales staff and distributing it weekly. Communicate inventory status for website and bookeeping
• Provide general support to customers
• Organize and schedule meetings and appointments

Qualifications

• Outstanding Customer Service experience (both external and internal customers)
• Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Basic knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting practices
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience managing accounts receivable and collections
• Able to see multiple tasks through to completion
• Able to shift tasks and priorities quickly
• Able to learn new software systems
• Open to learning new processes

Working conditions

Employee will be expected to work Monday through Friday. Employee will need to be able to work with a variety of personality types, including customers, outside sales personnel, and internal staff.

Physical requirements

The position will be working in a retail showroom. Employee will be expected to work seated at a desk. Walking, lifting (less than 20 pounds), and carrying (less than 20 pounds) may also be required.
