CAD Design / Mechanical Design Engineer

£30,000

Mechanical Design Engineer required with experience in Plant Room / HVAC design to join our client who specialise in heating and cooling systems.

The successful candidate will ideally have working knowledge of Revit / AutoCAD software and 1+ year industry experience.

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out concept and full design for plantroom layout, creating piping details, elevations iso’s etc.
• Produce Structural drawings, building layouts, trenching details etc. for civil contractors
• Read and working to P&ID’s
• Progress to sizing of kit – i.e. heat pumps, circulation pumps, pressurisation, control valves etc.
• Interface with other disciplines, suppliers and Clients
• Assist mechanical engineers and technical manager with proposal drawings, DNO applications and working concepts
• Ensure that you are available for site visits and relevant meetings

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum of draughting qualifications or similar level of knowledge from experience
• Proficient in use of CAD (AutoCAD and Revit preferred)

DESIREABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience of producing schematics, pipe sizes
• Experience in modelling civils and steel structures, GRP’s, civil bases etc.
• Plant room design experience
• Experience with CIBSE and BSRIA design standard

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of draughting qualifications or similar level of knowledge from experience
• Proficient in use of CAD (AutoCAD and Revit preferred)
