In this role, you will be responsible for providing; a welcoming and world-class experience to new hires and all of Desert Mountains teammates. Ensure the completion of new hire processes prior to new hire orientation by tracking and assisting potential new hires through the process. Perform annual compliance audits.

The ideal candidate will radiate great energy and genuine friendliness. 1-2 years of hospitality experience preferred. Must have excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Bilingual in Spanish (speak, read, & write) with the ability to translate documents. A valid driver’s license is required.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

• Assists in all areas of Talent & Culture: including but not limited to; Recruitment, Recognition, Benefits, and Compensation.
• Ensure the completion of all new hire processes and tasks by potential hires prior to New Hire Orientation (i.e., signed offers, cleared backgrounds, MVR, Drug Test, and Paycom Onboarding steps, etc.) Assist new hires as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and team members relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
• Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
• Work closely with the Director of Talent & Culture and Engagement & Communication Coordinator to analyze employee turnover; monthly run the Employee Turnover and identify and develop strategies to improve talent retention.
• Run background checks for Spa and Recreation positions once a year.
• Assists with recruitment and interview process. Track the status of candidates in the ATS system and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
• Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, ensuring verbiage clearly defines the role and targets and attracts the ideal candidates, reviewing resumes, performing reference checks, and telephone interviews.
• Assist with the H2B Visa Program from beginning to end to include filing petitions, coordinating interviews, and onboarding.
• Assist the Recruitment team with the Team Member Referral Program. Track all referrals in the spreadsheet and send referrals list to accounting team on payroll Mondays.
• Monitor expiring I9 documentation and driver’s licenses every month and notify both the employee and manager.
• Maintain documentation and compliance for company drivers; this includes all employees in a driving position. Obtain documentation upon hire, monitor expiration dates, and run MVR background checks as needed.
• Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files. Conducts all annual I-9 Audits ensuring accuracy with a thorough understanding including multi-national documents for refugees and H2B visas.
• Attend job fairs, networking events, and other hiring related events with the Recruitment team.
• Participate in educational opportunities to stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Exemplify all Desert Mountain values and service standards.
• Assist with any other HR duties as assigned.
