Derventio Recruitment Hiring for HR Advisor at Stoke-on-Trent Full Time

My award winning client is based in Stoke on Trent and provides technology based solutions to retailers, food outlets, eateries and takeaways through their ecosystem.

They employee approx. 130 employees across the UK, located at either their Central Office in Stoke on Trent, or in the field covering regions from the highlands of Scotland to the Cornish Coastline.

They are looking for a HR Advisor to develop, implement and run an efficient and proactive People advisory and administration function.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

• Developing and managing effective recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Providing an effective case management on capability and conduct issues, attendance management and grievance matters.
• Being the first point of contact for all colleague queries and queries from external candidates.
• Promoting and supporting our culture through our People Strategy and role model behaviours.
• Ensure that all employees receive regular feedback during their Probation period and that everyone’s Probationary Reviews happen on time.
• Ensure that line managers conduct Monthly One 2 One Reviews with all employees and that these are recorded on our HR management system (HRMS).
• Produce questionnaires to gage employee engagement levels across the business, analyse the data and devise a strategy to maintain and raise engagement levels.
• Use business data to track people measures and through interventions ensure all key measures are ‘Green’ in their RAG rating.
• Evaluate training, learning and development opportunities for employees and arrange both internal and external training to support employee and business growth.
• Manage the full People Life Cycle.
• Create and facilitate people forums in order to empower our employees to contribute and give feedback.
• Complete Employee Connects twice a year with all employees, building relationships, creating trust and giving an open and confidential forum for feedback to be given.
• Maintain all employee personnel files and HRMS employee profiles to ensure that they are legally compliant.
• Manage the HR Mailbox daily, ensuring that all requests are answered inline with the SLA.
• Review polices on an annual basis to ensure that they are up to date with all legislative changes and are fit for purpose within an ever growing business.
• Ensure that as part of our leaver process all employees receive a HR Connect and complete a Leaver Questionnaire.
• Work with the Chief People Officer on people projects ensuring the business is the most attractive place to work and supporting the long term objective of attaining ‘Great Place to Work’ accreditation.
• Lead reward and recognition initiatives.

You will have:

• Experience in a busy HR department, providing a generalist HR service in a customer focused environment.
• A Level 5 CIPD (or working towards) or equivalent relevant experience.
• HR systems experience.
• A good understanding of HR KPI/Analytics and of current Employment Law.
• The ability to deal with queries from colleagues at all levels and work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the business.
• Experience managing your own casework and be able to prioritise your own workload to deliver results within tight deadlines.
