Our company is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team in Baldwinville, MA.

As a Medical assistant, he/she will provide a variety of technical, clerical, and patient care services under the supervision of nurses or medical practitioners.

Responsibilities and Clinical Duties:

• Perform administrative tasks such as patient chart documentation
• Obtain patient vital signs & significant findings
• Verify prescriptions
• Assist with patient examinations
• Take medical histories
• Explain treatment procedures to patients
• Prepare patients for examination
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic laboratory tests
• Instruct patients about medication and special diets
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by nurse/medical practitioner
• Transmit prescription refills as directed
• Draw blood
• Change wound dressings

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
• Two years of experience in a medical setting
