We have a great opportunity to join our team of Training and Education Officers to support the development of Adult Social Care staff. This is a fast moving and supportive team working to deliver differently in these challenging times and respond flexibly and quickly to the needs of our front-line Social Care staff. These staff provide care and support to customers across Derby and within other work bases. The role will work alongside the Training and Education Officers (TEOs) to develop staff in a variety of areas as well as coordinating and commissioning other areas of training. This could be areas such as Induction and the Care Certificate, Assisting and Moving, Health related training, Dementia, Autism, Positive Behaviour Support and First Aid, Infection prevention and control and many others. We have a blended approach across the team that takes account of the skills and knowledge that individual TEOs have to commission and deliver training needs. Currently we are delivering training via Teams/skype, and face to face in the classroom where there are competency elements to teach, and through short films/videos we are creating; this has definitely been a learning adventure for everyone and we would love you to join us on our journey.
