The Talent Acquisition function partners closely with other elements of People & Culture to deliver an exceptional hiring experience for the Department’s hiring managers and our candidates, be they internal employees or external applicants. The function is responsible for resourcing all positions in the Department through sourcing, selection and onboarding and are accountable for the Department’s Talent Strategy and associated processes, policies and programs.

About the role

We have both permanent and fixed term opportunities for forward-thinking recruitment experts to join our team as VPS4 Talent Acquisition Partners. The roles provide an opportunity to help imbed best recruitment practices across the Department of Treasury & Finance (DTF). In consultation with the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, you will partner with hiring managers to lead the full-cycle of mobility and talent acquisition activities for DTF.

The key accountabilities are to:

• Provide training and coaching to DTF hiring managers to enhance their success as hiring managers, such as leading practice interview and selection techniques
• Partner collaboratively with people leaders and staff across DTF to build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Provide professional advice to DTF hiring managers for the full-cycle of talent acquisition and mobility activities
• Conduct and schedule interviews, background checks and onboarding activities as required

About you

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Experience in a range of talent acquisition and mobility strategies, programs and operational activities
• Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain partnerships with managers and team members and external stakeholders
• End to end recruitment experience with a focus on delivering a positive candidate experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering operational excellence in a changing environment
• Well-developed communication skills with capability to generate reports and insights for a variety of stakeholders
