The position of Senior Finance Analyst forms a part of the Resources branch of the Rural and Regional Victoria group.
The Rural and Regional Victoria group ensures rural and regional communities and economies are vibrant, thriving and inclusive. We do this by working with communities and businesses to develop policies and programs that target job creation, infrastructure, regional planning, resources development and investment attraction. We aim to build on rural and regional Victoria’s existing strengths as its communities and economies continually change. We work with our partners and across government to improve the social and economic wellbeing of rural and regional Victorians for the benefit of the entire state. The Rural and Regional Victoria Group incorporates Regional Development Victoria, Resources Branch, the Latrobe Valley Authority, and the Rural and Regional Policy and Strategy Branch.
The Resources Branch develops policy, programs and regulation to enable investment and generate jobs through the sustainable development of the State’s earth resources, including extractives, minerals and petroleum.
The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for conducting a wide range of financial analytical functions to enable the delivery of Earth Resources Regulation’s regulatory responsibilities and activities, including the preparation of complex financial analysis, unit budgets and monthly management reports and the provision of high-level advice to managers and staff on trends and developments within the business.
